Xbox 360 is Microsoft's seventh-generation home video game console and the successor to the original Xbox. Released in 2005, it brought console gaming together with Xbox Live, which supports online multiplayer and digital services. The system was sold in several hardware revisions, including the slimmer Xbox 360 S, and its library includes games played from discs as well as digital downloads. It preceded the Xbox One in Microsoft's console lineup.
